Wait Fore It ("we," "us") lets you search public golf tee times and get alerted when matching times open up. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible to run the service.

Information we collect

Email address — when you sign in (passwordless magic link) and to send you tee-time alerts and account emails. Searching is anonymous; only monitoring requires an email.
Your monitors and searches — the courses, dates, times, player counts, and price filters you choose, so we can watch for matching tee times.
Notification settings — your email/push preferences, quiet hours, and (if you enable push) the web-push subscription token for each device you turn it on for.
Location (optional) — a ZIP code or approximate coordinates you provide to sort courses by distance. This is kept in your browser and used only for distance sorting.
Shared recipients — if you add someone as a recipient of a monitor, we store their email so we can send them alerts. They can remove themselves at any time.
Basic technical data — a signed session cookie to keep you logged in, and minimal server logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

To run searches and background monitors and notify you of matching tee times.
To send passwordless sign-in links and the alerts/updates you've asked for.
To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to deliver the product:

Email delivery (Brevo) — to send sign-in links and alerts.
Web push services — your browser's push provider delivers push notifications you enable.
Tee-time and weather data — tee-time availability comes from courses' public booking pages (foreUP); weather is from Open-Meteo. We don't send them your personal data.

If a monitor is shared with you, the owner's email and any co-recipients may be visible to you, and your email is visible to the owner.

Data retention & your choices

One-time monitors are removed automatically after their window passes; you can delete any monitor anytime.
Every alert email includes an unsubscribe link, and shared-monitor emails include a "remove me" link.
You can turn off email or push, set quiet hours, or remove yourself from a shared monitor in the app's Notifications and My Monitors sections.

Security

Traffic is served over HTTPS, sessions use signed cookies, and we don't store passwords (sign-in is passwordless). No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Children

The service isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
